The heart problems of Cuttino Mobley that forced him into retirement have left a free spot in the Knicks backcourt, which they want to fill via trade or via signing a player who is currently not playing in the NBA.
According to Newsday.com two of those names could be the ones of the former NBA players Carlos Delfino and Jannero Pargo, who are currently playing in the Russian Superleague.
The Knicks have up to four and a half millions to spend in a new contract and the could be enough to bring back to the league such players.
But the also have a B plan. If they could not buy out the contracts of those players, the Knicks would have to consider a trade. Quincy Douby from the Sacramento Kings, and Sergio Rodríguez from the Portland Trail Blazers are among the players in which the management is interested.
