Keys for being a key player
To me the key for being a key player is a player who works hard and sets a good example for other players on and off the court. A key player must work hard on defense and offense, be full of confidence, and never complain when things don´t go his/her way. Also this is the player who points the finger at himself rather than everyone else. Key players can most of times be very vocal, they set the tone before the game starts. A perfect example of a key player to me is Kobe Bryant. Kobe plays both offense and defense very well for his team. Kobe is a very good player but can´t win a championship by himself.
However, many teams have more than one key player. In better cases, key players can be EVERYONE because everyone has his/her responsibility on and off the court. A perfect example of a team where Everyone is a key player is San Antonio Spurs, because every player on the Spurs does his job on both ends. Each player knows their role and play it very well. Everyone can´t be a scorer for the Spurs. There are defenders, scorers, ball handlers, and players that take on responsiblity throughout the curse of a game and when the game is on the line. That´s why they are always in the playoffs and the team that´s winning CHAMPIONSHIPS! In order to be a championship team I feel everyone on the team has to be one key, one unit. Lose as a TEAM, Win as a TEAM!
