Prospects

Yaroslav Korolev
HEIGH: 6-9 POSITION: Small forward BORN: 5/07/87

His strong body and skills are suitable to be an important player in the future. From his size and atleticism can grab bounds, post and block. He is a terrific leaper.

Korolev has a great level of understanding: scoring-wise, he makes great contributions to the success of his team.
The best qualitity is his complete game by doing lots of sutff : he is an inside-outside threat. He can see the floor pretty well making other players aroung him better. Good handling (great hands) and interesting midrange jumper and 3pts shooter. Definely is an allround player.

IMPROVE
He has to control his temper.

COMPARISON
Andrei Kirilenko (he has not the quickness of Kirilenko but Korolev will eventually be stronger)

NBA ROL
He can be an important starter player

Artur Urazmanov
HEIGH: 6-2 POSITION: Point guard BORN: 8/16/87

He is an explosive leaper. One the best atletic player who has ever played in the tournament along its history (before being Josh Smith (Atlanta Hawks) and Rajon Rondo (University of Kentucky).

Artur’s ability to penetrate and break people down off the dribble and distribute the ball is great. Plus he is as athletic as he can be at his size. He’s got great hands, great vision. Plus Uramaznov’s handling is much more than average. He is unselfish and a point who can drive and create. He is really strong, now he is the one kid of the tournament who has the kind of body needed to play in the NBA.

IMPROVE
He is not still a solid mid range and 3 point shooter. He has to develop into the type of solid passer (too many turnovers) that everybody knows he is capable of being. He has to make adjustments on making decisions too.

NBA ROL
He can be an important starter player

Pavel Ermolinski
HEIGH: 6-7 POSITION: Point guard BORN: 1/25/87

Ermolinski is a hidden talent. He is a 6-7 foot pure point guard although he can play from the 3 to the 1 position. The native ukraine player has a nice handling, vision and can run the offense, create and drive. He can penetrate and draw defensive attention.

He is showing athleticism and potential. He is pretty quick and very smart keeping his concentration to the end, so he can guard small players. Ermolinski is active. He has very quick hands, and reads the passing lanes. He has the rebounding a ability. He can help big guys in the paint.

Ermolinski is a very effective player who can do a lot of things in both ends. He has excellent court sense and that helps other players.

IMPROVE
He has to work hard on mid range and 3 point shooter. He must add strength.

COMPARISON
Marko Jaric

NBA ROL
He can be a starter player

Victor Claver
HEIGH: 6-9 POSITION: Forward BORN: 8/30/88

Despite of being one of the youngest players at this level Claver has showed that can play of SF or PF, but his natural position is SF. Claver always looks like getting more versatile. He can do a lot of the stuff so is all over the floor: blocking shots, shooting the ball, trying to put the ball on the floor and get on top of the basket.

Claver is a 6-9 but he plays 6-10 with a long arms. He has a perimeter game that extended to the three-point line. He has a high level of understaning making right decisions. He is a smart boy and a nice passer. Definetevely is a young player with a great handling and nice blocking abiliy with quick feet and good hands.

IMPROVE
He has to work on post stuff and put more intensity on the court.

Maxim Sheleketo

HEIGH: 6-9 POSITION: Small forward BORN: 1/04/87

The potential of this kid is incredible. Great atlete with an accurate jumper. Sheleketo has acrobatic moves in the air. He is a perimeter’s big player who can help rebounding in the paint. He has an excellent 3 point shooter and he has a natural shooting touch. The explosive russian finishes easily in transition, besides he can penetrate and draw defensive attention. Nice first step.

NBA ROL
He can be an important team player

*They are the players who could adjust more to NBA, nevertheless there were very interesting player out of the list such as Vasily Zavoruev (6-6, 87, small forward with terrific talent and smart player but maybe weak physically), Xavi Rey (6-9, 87, power forward who is a nice atlete but lacks of some fundamentals especially shotting and handling), Sotirios Manolopoulos (6-9, 87, power forward who was unstoppable at this level but he is not quick enough and also he must add strength and improve his ball handling).
